OUR STORY
I’ve run my whole life.
Never went pro.
Hey, I’m Gedas. I run, I make things, and I started Playday Legends. Here’s the short version.
The day my watch said 42
I’ve never run a marathon in an official race. In 2022 I just went out and ran one on my own. I’d wanted it for years. When the watch hit 42 kilometres, I cried. No crowd, no finish line, no medal. Just me, the road, and a number on a watch. Still one of the best moments of my life.
From the outside it looks like nothing. To the person who did it, it’s everything. That’s the kind of moment this whole thing is about.
Running since I was a kid
I started running when I was about ten. Small local races, 600 and 800 metres on the track. Later I moved to the long stuff. 10Ks, half marathons, and eventually a marathon.
Big results? Not really. No medals anyone but me cares about. I call myself a professional beginner without the professional results. But I kept showing up. That part I’m good at.
Nobody came to watch me as a kid, and honestly, that was fine. My friends were there for a lot of it, yelling my name. So was my coach. That’s what most sports moments are. A few people who know what it took.

RACE DAY, NUMBER 126
A phone photo in a car park.
Me before a local race. Cold morning, thumbs up, cars behind me. On the left, the photo as it was. On the right, what Playday Legends made of it. Drag the line.

The numbers, if you’re curious
Plus a couple thousand kilometres from before Strava existed. Nobody’s putting that on the news. But every one of those runs was real, and I’m proud of them.
Over the years I drifted around a bit. CrossFit, volleyball, cycling, swimming. Running was always there, waiting. It still is. I run about three times a week.
The photos never made it to the wall
I always wanted to share those moments. I had the photos. But a race photo straight from the phone isn’t something you hang on the wall. It’s missing something. So it sat in the camera roll, like everyone’s do.
So I built Playday Legends. It takes an ordinary sports moment and makes it look the way it felt. Epic. Because that’s what we are. We’re the ones who actually go out and do the sport. We get to be proud of that, and show it.

THE FIRST ONE I PRINTED
A sweaty selfie after class.
My fiancée and me at the gym, straight from the phone. Nothing special about the photo. That’s the point.

THEN SHE MADE HER OWN
Her surf lesson.
One photo from a surf trip. She picked the style, made a couple of changes, and ordered it.

Start with your player
Most of the moments on this site are kids’ moments, because that’s where it all starts. The photo is already on your phone. The season ends, the jersey gets too small, and the picture never gets printed. Your kid doesn’t need a trophy for the wall. They just need to have been there, and you need to have been watching.
How it works, plainly
We make the artwork from your photo, in one of four styles. You see it before you pay. If a detail looks off, ask for a change. It’s free. Then a person checks the print file against your photo before it goes to print.
Your photos stay private: never sold, never used in ads without your permission, kept for up to 12 months and deleted sooner if you ask. If a print arrives damaged or wrong, send a photo within 30 days and we reprint it free. The details are on the returns and privacy pages.
About me
Away from running, I’ve spent more than seven years in marketing, most of it running ads. I’ve seen a lot of pages that promise the world. This isn’t one of them. No fake reviews, no countdown timers, no badges we made up. Just the artwork, the price, and what happens after you order.
Playday Legends is a small studio. When you email hello@playdaylegends.com, it lands with me.
